How to repair corrupt DB2 database using Stellar Phoenix DB2 Recovery software?

Stellar Phoenix DB2 Recovery facilitates complete recovery of corrupt DB2 databases. The software also enables you to recover database that are not attached to DB2 by providing the location of required files for recovery, i.e. SQLDBDIR, data folder, and the corresponding containers

Mentioned below is the detailed procedure to recover a corrupt DB2 database:

When you launch Stellar Phoenix DB2 Recovery, the main interface of the software appears. Navigate to the 'File' menu and click 'Select Database' or click 'Select Database' icon on the toolbar.

The 'Stellar Phoenix DB2 Recovery' dialog box is displayed. In this dialog, click 'Repair corrupt database stored at default location' to select a database that is attached to DB2 for recovery. To manually select a database stored at a location other than the default location, click 'Manual selection of database for recovery'. After selecting the database, click 'OK'.

If you selected 'Repair corrupt database stored at default location', the same dialog box will display a list of databases currently attached to DB2. Select a database for recovery from this list.

Once you select the database, the software starts scanning the database. After completion of the scan, the software forms an index of database objects in the left pane. You can select an object from this list to preview it in the main interface.

Select the objects you need to recover and click 'Start Repair' icon on the toolbar. The 'Select Destination' dialog will be displayed. You can choose to save the recovered file at the default location or at a new location of choice. Select the desired option, provide the destination path, and click 'OK'.

The Software saves the recovered DB2 database at your specified location in the system.
